Islampur: BJP’s state vice-president Raju Banerjee was produced in the Islampur court on Thursday afternoon by the police of Rajgarh police station. Raju Banerjee was arrested in Raiganj yesterday while being involved in a dharna organized by the BJP. This morning he was brought from Raiganj police station to Islampur court. However, where Raju Banerjee was kept after arrest by the police, in which case he was arrested, how he was brought to court from Raiganj police station, more details have not been given about all this. On the other hand, while being taken by the police to Islampur court, Raju Banerjee said that protesting in West Bengal means jail. With this, he said that there should be no democracy in Bengal. It is worth mentioning that yesterday Raju Banerjee reached Raiganj to participate in a sit-in demonstration organized by BJP demanding a CBI inquiry into the death of tenth pass student in Chopra, during which police arrested him. The police had directed to end the picket demonstration.
