Defense Minister salutes the martyrs of Kargil, wrote in tweet- Salute to brave soldiers


new Delhi: On the completion of 21 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh saluted the brave soldiers and martyrs of the Indian Army for their indomitable courage. Today, the Defense Minister, CDS and the Chiefs of the three Services will pay tribute at the National War Memorial in Delhi. This day is celebrated in honor of the soldiers who were martyred in the Kargil war.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote in his tweet, “On the 21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay, I want to salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought the enemy in the most challenging conditions in the world in recent history.”

In the next tweet, Rajnath Singh said, ‘I am also thankful to those who, despite being incapable of war, continued to serve the country in their own way and set worthy examples of emulation.’

The Defense Minister said in another tweet, ‘Kargil Victory Day is really a celebration of India’s glorious tradition of outstanding military service, exemplary valor and sacrifice. The unwavering courage and patriotism of our armed forces has ensured that India is safe and secure.
